There's always some smartypants who knows of another - there's a budget
EMI 2-CD set of reissues of Stabat Maters by Rossini (cond Karl Forster
and with the glorious Josef Traxel), Verdi (Giulini), Poulenc (Pretre)
and Szymanowski (Wit).  I bought the set about a year ago, mainly for the
Rossini but was glad to make the acquaintance of the Poulenc in particular.
Not having heard the Shaw Steve reviewed, I can't make comparisons.
