You should consider a few works by Carl Maria von Weber - his two Concertos
for Clarinet and Orchestra (Op. 73 and 74) and a Concertino (Op. 26).
Brahms also got a Clarinet Trio (Op. 114) and sonatas for the same
instrument (Op. 120). Mozart has written a Trio for Clarinet, Viola and
Piano ("Kegelstatt", KV 498) and a few Quartets (K 317d, 496 and 374f)
which are very interesting.
Francis Poulenc has a Sonata for Clarinet and Piano which is just
beautiful. Claude Debussy and other French composers like Saint-Saens,
Milhaud and Honegger have also written really enjoyable music for this
instrument.
I don't really have any recordings I would like to recommend, but perhaps
someone else on the list will?
Good luck!
