Alain Planes is an active pianist who records primarily for Harmonia
Mundi. He has recorded solo piano music of Debussy, Chabrier, Janacek,
and Schubert's last three piano sonatas. His most recent disc contains
Debussy's two books of Preludes.

I have two of his Schubert cd's (D 958 &959) and have enjoyed them very
much. Planes is no Brendel or Richter in this repertoire, but I think he
compares well with Uchida.

Anyways, I was curious as to what other list members think of Planes and
his Debussy in particular.
