New Bach and Schubert discs I've read reviews of sound very attractive.
The Temperaments label has issued the Art of Fugue performed on organ
by Kei Koito (#316016). Koito plays a French classical organ, and the
performance is reported to be large-scale in nature. The only Art of Fugue
on organ that I have is the Alain on Erato which I've enjoyed over the
years. I'm anxious to hear the Koito recording which is available on
CDNOW. It's a 2-disc set at full price.

The other release consists of the complete Schubert piano sonatas on a 5 cd
set performed by John Damgaard on Classico (#245). The reviewer considered
the set outstanding and thoroughly relevatory. This set is also available
at CDNOW for under $40.

Both reviews were in American Record Guide which leads me to comment that
reviews of recordings on relatively obscure labels are often found in ARG
and Fanfare. This is a major advantage over the other English speaking
review periodicals.
