They must have improved greatly under his leadership.  I heard them try
to sing something of that tradition his first year and the result was
underwealming at best.  They were much better when I heard them a few years
ago on their Christmas special, but it still seemed alien to them.  Much
improved, respectable, but not "singing the bejezuz".  Somehow they seemed
too pretty and respectful...
