My advice is to go see Martha Argerich perform the Prokofiev 3rd.
That way you will have the opportunity to watch/hear one of the most
powerfully communicative artists perform a work that is strongly associated
with her. I have seen her performances several times, and she makes
it look like playing children's piano exercises. In the midst of some
terribly difficult parts, she shamelessly throws her black cascades of
hair back and stares at the ceiling, like stirring a pot of cake mix!
Or alternatively fixes a stare on an audience member until they squirm.
She is simply a phenomenon. Got to see it to believe it.
