I wrote to NY a over a year ago asking if they would share this curriculum
with our task force. They graciously sent one and, after it made quick
rounds among a few other folks, made it's home on the edge of my desk. I'm
truly grateful for all the work that has been done. In hard copy, this work
is an inch+ thick...lots of paper, and while a few of those pages can handle
a few revisions, overall I thought it a worthy piece of work. I found I
had to really sit and think about how each page would fit into a rounded
curriculum before I scratched anything. IMO it is designed to develop a
healthy thought processes in the students and not merely dictate to them how
babies should be fed and nurtured.

In speaking with friends who are teachers, I found that most had no idea
what their resources were, especially books, for their students, nor how to
approach breastfeeding (even passively) as part of the health curriculum for
their particular classes. *Many* thank yous to those who contributed.
