Over the last week I've been listening to a lot of Walter Klien playing
sonatas by Mozart and Schubert. As a number of other listers have
observed, they're enormously satisfying. I'm mystified that such a
fabulous pianist has, apparently, recorded comparatively little, or
perhaps it's just that some of his recordings haven't made it to CD.

The most recent information about him I found on the web was a gig with the
Cincinnati Symphony in 1986. If he's still with us, he's in his early 70s.
Does anyone know anything of him?
