John Dalmas writes [in part] re Oskar Nedbal:

Nedbal was also the original violist of the Bohemian Quartet.  He also
left that position in 1906, in a manner which occasioned a certain amount
of turmoil.  According to the notes by Tully Potter in a Biddulph CD
collection [LAB 091/92]:  "....just as they were due to tour England in
1906, Nedbal ran off to Egypt with [first violinist Karel] Hoffmann's wife.
The couple were happy together, but Nedbal's career in Bohemia was
virtually ended."
