First of all, I should point out that this embarassment of riches does not,
in any way, extend beyond radio.  There are very few concerts of ANY type
of music that are even half-way decent.  There are no good museums or
galleries.  The local PBS TV station is a disgrace.  I would imagine that
Boston manages to put on a pretty good show from time to time, so don't
feel too bad.  By the way, who are you calling "provincial"?
