my wife was asking about administrative structures in archaeology outside of
germany - who decides what's excavated, who has jurisdiction, who decides who
does the digging, etc. - i have been trying to explain english heritage and
the state/provincial archaeologists and so on, but really fairly vague myself
- any information would be appreciated - send offline if you also think that it
looks like no one else has any interest...
