As stated several times in the past on these pages, I cannot support the
recommendation of Annie Fischer's interpretations of the Beethoven sonatas
strongly enough.  I find them to be some of the very finest interpretations
in the history of recordings in any format - equivalent and in some ways
preferable to the frequently overrated Schnabel account.  Many are taken
aback by the instrument, but I find the Bosendorfer offers a kaleidascope
of color and freshness to these works.  I own all of them, and would not
part with a second of any of them.
