The Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto has been my favorite concerto since I was
a little kid.  However, I haven't settled on one recording of it yet.  Does
anyone have any suggestions of a recording which takes a moderate tempo and
in which the soloist doesn't do anything unorthodox such as taking a phrase
up an octave?
