I recently read "Double Life," Miklos Rozsa's autobiography (aided by
Christopher Palmer), and learned that one of his most artistically
satisfying collaborations was with Alain Resnais on the film "Providence,"
with Dirk Bogarde and Ellen Burstyn. Haven't seen it, but DB's one of the
greats, afaic, and I gather Resnais is no slouch. 'Hope it's on video...

I'm just delving into Rozsa's movie music -- into movie music per se,
in fact -- and wonder: Is the soundtrack for "Providence" (DRG 9502)
recommendable?
