Just wanted to say a temporary farewell to listmembers, as I am on
holiday through the middle of July. Some parting recommendations would
be: Berkshire Record Outlet: Collins Classics: Colin Mathews - Machines
& Dreams, Hidden Variables, Memorial, and Quatrain - an absolutely superb
representation of large orchestral works by a 20th century master composer
conducted by M. Tilson Thomas. And also from BRO, Andrzej Panufnik:
Tragic Overture, Autumn Music, Heroic Overture, Nocturne, and Sinfonia
Rustica - rich, austere, intellectual and emotional stimulating music
conducted by that master conductor - Jascha Horenstein (and the Sinfonia
by the composer). Enjoy, and in the words of Schwarzenegger cum P. D. Q.
Bach: I'll be Bach!
