Monteux with the Chicago Symphony is a favorite.  I'm always impressed with
that one.  Indeed, Monteux is a conductor I think underrated by most.  An
earlier discussion of conductors of Stravinsky works did not mention him to
my recollection.  Few can be as definitive in those works.  When I hear his
performances I am often struck with how fresh and new the performances are.
