Attending the New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force conference this week and
Dr. Tierrona Low Dog had some comment that she did not believe sage
effective in drying up milk. She commented she had tried it and it didn't
work for her and her mother asked what she was doing. She had explained to
her mother what she was doing and her mother told her that it wouldn't work
that she would just keep making milk as long as her heart was still attached
to breastfeeding the child. I just loved that comment, it was so sweet. We
get so technical and scientific about it all and in reality, it's really a
gift from the heart.
