Wind music is likely what Reicha is best known for; CPO released many discs
in a series devoted to his wind music, Hyperion released two cd's, and
other companies have joined the bandwagon.

However, Reicha, as Billy found out, wrote orchestral music including
symphonies. Auvidis Valois recently issued a disc having two Reicha
symphonies. In addition, Reicha wrote piano fugues, a large number of
other types of chamber music, and sacred religious works.

The man wrote some fine music which I've enjoyed greatly over the years.
The best I've heard can be found on MDG(various chamber discs) and on
Sony(string chamber works performed by L'Archibudelli).

The wind chamber works do tend to render me senseless after one hour of
listening.
