When I lived in Virginia, near Washington, WGMS was around, but a
much better classical station was WMAL.  This was 40 years ago, however.
I wonder what ever happened to that station.  I think there was also a
station connected with one of the universities that had a lot of classical
music, not to mention some other fine programming.
