It's a shame that the 1990 Met performances were not documented.  The DG
released Staatsoper performances seem dull in comparison to what I heard
at the Met back then.

Kleiber's appearances at the MET have been special occasions, and this
was no exception.  It got rave reviews from the critics and musicians.
I managed to get 4th row seats and I was just swept up in CK's take on
the work.
