I'm with Gerry.  When I first bought Goebel's version, I felt great
exhilaration from Goebel's speeds and had no feeling that the speeds
were extreme.

If that particular writer for Penguin considers Goebel too fast, he must
really have fits with more recent versions.  I am very glad that I never
bother with the Penguin Guide.  Besides, I prefer magazines/periodicals
that are more narrative in form.
