I have been trying with no luck to find out which Mahler was used in
"Educating Rita." There was a scene where Rita is starting to share an
apartment with a depressed woman.  She says something like 'life is not
worth living without Mahler'.  Mahler is playing in the background in at
least two other scenes, and is on the turntable spinning around noiselessly
after her suicide.

No wonder Mahler has such a bad rep.
