Aaron J. Rabushka asked:

>Am I understanding correctly that these "Chants de Nectaires" comprise a

"Les Chants du Nectaire" is formed by three cycles and there is 96 pieces
for solo flute in total. The inspiration for Koechlin is Anatole France's
novel "La Revolte des Anges" (set in the Ancient Greece) of which Nectaire,
a gardener, is the principal character. These 96 improvisations for the
flute or the "songs" of Nectaire are the philosophical and poetic
meditations of the gardener. The recorded time is: 2 h 52 m. The
pieces are played magically by Pierre-Yves Artaud.
