All this talk about "Chineseness" in Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde made
me revisited this music during the Chinese New Year holidays (the 1st Day
of Chinese New Year was last Monday - Feb.  16).  Having listened to it
casually through, can't say I recognise any familiar Chinese element in
the music.
