Twenty years ago I made a tape of some Baroque music for my grad school
friend Elaine. The first work on the tape was the Toccata and Fugue in D
Minor. Unfortunately, she had the misfortune to listen to this piece while
a raging thunderstorm was occuring outside. Too late, she was "imprinted"
as we say.

To this day, Elaine can't listen to the work--gives her the creeps. Shades
of "a Dark and Stormy Night"!
