Looking for some help with a woman who is due in 10 weeks. A multip who
breast fed her first infant. Since that time has had bilateral mastectomies.
She has had tissue removed from her back and placed where her breasts were,
and is able to wear a jogging bra enabling her to appear as if she has
breasts. Her first breastfeeding experience went well, and she wants to
simulate this as close as possible with this infant. She had called Medela
and they suggested placing a silicone nipple shield over the tissue and attach
an SNS nurser to the end of the silicone nipple. Has anyone had experience
with this. I would appreciate your ideas. Kathleen Mason RNC LDRP unit at
