I have loved both orchestras in Bruckner for years, appreciating each for
its different qualities. I have wonderful recordings of both orchestras
in all the symphonies. (Can anyone surpass Bohm's Fourth with the VPO?)
In fact, the VPO did a terrific Fourth in Boston a few years ago. To me
they (and the BPO in a different way) have a sublime Bruckner sound.

My point in commenting, though, is not to argue, but rather to ask you to
elaborate why you don't care for the VPO as a Bruckner orchestra. This I
would find most interesting.
