The King's Consort, under the direction of Robert King, will be heard
in concert at St Francis Episcopal Church, 10033 River Road in Potomac,
Maryland, at 8:00pm Wednesday, March 3, 1999.

Tickets are $30 ($20 for students), and may be reserved by calling the
church at 301/365-2055.

St Francis Church is located at 10033 River Road in Potomac Village, three
miles outside the Capital Beltway (Exit 39, MD 190).

The concert is entitled "Virtuoso Baroque". It will open with Mr Handel's
Water Music. Then follows a pair of works by Henry Purcell: The Duke of
Gloucester's Trumpet Suite and Chacony in G Minor. Handel is featured
again in three arias, "Di, cor mio", "Tune your harps", and "Mio caro
bene."

After the interval, three works will be presented. The first is Telemann's
Musique de Table (Tafelmusik). Albinoni's Oboe Concerto in D Minor is
the centerpiece of the second act, and the evening concludes with the
spectacular Cantata BWV51 Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen by J. S. Bach.

Director Robert King is joined by soprano Lorna Anderson and trumpet player
Crispian Steele-Perkins.
