I've never heard Jacob's symphony, but his trombone concerto was fun
to work on.  He also wrote an intriguing sextet for piano and winds
(originally for a group including Dennis and Leonard Brain, in memory
of their father Aubrey) and did an interesting band arrangement of some
William Byrd tunes.
