Students attending the SHA 1999 in Salt Lake City should also consider
attending the Annual Awards Ceremony which will be held at the Banquet
Friday January 8th at 8:00 PM (Three Seasons Main Ballroom). The Banquet
starts at 7PM but if you do not have a ticket you can go out and eat and
arrive a little before 8:00. We are having chairs put out for those who
want to attend the Awards Ceremony but not the Banquet per se.
 
George Bass will be honored this year with the JC Harrington Medal and
there are also 1999 Awards of Merit. The ceremony is a good place to
learn about the history of the discipline.
