Rob, let the mother and baby relax for a while. I think that trying to fool
this baby into eating will backfire. The baby is too smart.
Here is what I would suggest:
1. Don't try to give food at all for a week or two.
2. If the baby seems to want food out of the parents' plate, let him have
it. Whatever it is (meat, potato, whatever, with few exceptions like
peanuts, hominy grits, and sushi).
3. If he shows no interest during that week, just have the mother put the
food in front of him and let him play with it.
Let's see what happens.
