Just one more comment- IF there are so many hospitals where non - RN
IBCLCs are not allowed to work because they don't have the correct
training and background how can anyone even begin to think that a totally
untrained person can know what to say/do?
Tonight at an LLL meeting I saw the most beautiful healthy and obviously
thriving 3 month old. The problem - she is going from 7 - 10 days betwee
bowel movements. So the pediatrician has the mother recording every
bowel movement and said that they will need to do XRays and tests for
strictures (BTW- what kind does MD mean?) If the problem hasn't gone away
by the next visit. Mother has been to other meetings but unfortunately
for her this didn't come up before. If only she had not thought to tell
the Dr. Sometimes I think the doctors just make it up as they go along.
