Dear lactnetters,
Our breastfeeding coalition wants to offer a workshop next year for our
area. We've offered a few workshops in the last six years, we usually hit
basic topics. We offered one ourselves then we had Nancy Wight MD, they
were both well attended. Our problem is how do you attract people to come.
We want a workshop that will be affordable for people who can't usually
afford to make it, we want a good speaker, we want to have topics that will
interest people who have gone to our workshops before but the basics always
need to be addressed. How do you find new and fresh ways to approach the
same issues? What I want in a workshop is very different from someone who
doesn't usually go to breastfeeding issues. The regular hospital OB nurse
might just throw away a notice on the same old thing. We've contacted Molly
Pessel, maybe some of you have heard some good topics she's covered or if
you have other ideas, let me know.
