Just wanted to let you all know that I discovered several days ago that
the results of the Kaiser study were removed from the web, I emailed
Lois, the lady who had them on her site and received the following back
from her which I have permission to post :
Lois,
Please remove my lactation document from the greatstar website. This was
a
"quick and dirty" internal study I did as part my proposal to expand
lactation services at Kaiser. The costs savings in this proposal are
incorrect due to the accidental inclusion of several babies with
congenital
defects. This sample was re-analyzed and the results are published by
myself and Julie Ware, MD in the Am. J. of Managed Care, 1997, vol 3, pg
861-65. Thanks for your co-operation.
Sincerely,
Christine Hoey, FNP, IBCLC
Cindy ~
