I've been asked by a counsellor colleague about MRSA - she has a mother
whose sore nipples and pain in the breast are, according to tests, not
thrush but MRSA (mecithillin-resistant staph aureus - it's the super bug,
anyway, that is present in hospitals). Baby contracted it (they think) in
hospital and has passed it on to mum (they think). Nothing has cleared it
so far.
It's a new one on me though I have heard of people getting MRSA elsewhere,
on wounds after surgery, for example, and I can find not a thing in the
list archives.
Anyone know anything?
