Oops!  Sorry I didn't explain further.  When a baby is placed in a tuck
position, her hip and knee areas are flexed.  "Football" (at the side)
position works quite well with newborns.  Often, having the chin down so
the neck is flexed helps, too.  Baby seems to be in flex position as  in
utero.

Hope that clarifies a bit.
