Would it be possible to 'tell' the mother concerned about the adaptation -
even show her one completed.  Tell her the dos and don'ts then leave it up
to her whether she sends her partner out to buy a syringe, convert it and
use - even while she is still in hospital.  So long as she is well informed
and she has been proactive in acquiring it then all is well. yes?
