So you can't beleive you are disagreeing with me? Why not? LOTS of people
disagree with me all the time! I am quite used to it!! :-)
If we are professionals, we certainly should disagree with one another.
After all, none of us sees the world in quite the same way.
Perhaps the word "recipe" was what got me. It is worrisome to me, however,
because I have SEEN what happens when a particular solution is offered for
a given problem and that solution has then been applied (willy nilly) to
problems that are similar but not hte same and breastfeeding has suffered
as a result.
I suspect we are saying the same thing. HOwever, since I am NOT a nurse, I
was not trained to look for a specific solution to a given problem, but
rather to look at larger problems with a multitude of solutions. Different
professional blinders yield quite different orientations. One of the
strengths of the LC profession--if we allow non-nurses to continue to
practice... (another worry, but another story for another time)....
