I am a 100% Scot, and very proud of it.  Crisco is a vegetable cooking grease.
I don't know of any brands in the U.K., but either a vegetable cooking grease
or oil like you use in a deep fat frying machine to make doughnuts or
crullers, or french fried potatoes.  The grease works better than the oil.
