When I wear my "La Leche League Leader hat" I rarely need to warn mothers
about latex vs silicon nipples, or try to recommend one over the other.
However, in my three years with the  WIC program, I have had to wear
other hats, and I thought my question about which nipple to recommend
deserved some serious consideration, instead of being brushed off with
"my child doesn't do rubber".
Neither did my children, and I try like anything to help other mothers
have the same experience that I did, but I need to deal with the reality
of my clients.
