Neat observation about no formula given for 6 weeks. Thanks a bunch, I'd
probably see lots of starving babies in my inner city peds clinic. We just
can't say go BF and come back in 6 weeks. There would have to be some way
to couple no formula yet with excellent BF ed and support! And I know you
don't want to hear that this LLLL, IBCLC doesn't have Time in the daily
swing of things to help these moms. But I honestly don't. And I'm so
grateful for my local WIC BF counselor and 5 new multi-cultural peer
counselors.

I'm proud of your 50 % initiation rate too! I've always believed that some
breastfeeding was better than none, so every day moms BF is an
irreplaceable gift to those babies.

Sincerely, Pat Young in SNJ, USA
