This is a thank you note from the mom that was told to wean her baby NOW
because she was starting Synthroid (or she would cause brain damage). I
just love thank you notes :)

Dear Tamara:

The agony's over!  I changed pediatricians - now with Pediatrics Plus.
Today my husband and I met with Pat Lindsey and Dr. Carr of Pediatrics
Plus here in Orlando.  They both refuted Dr. ******** advice, provided
references, then went further and called in a pediatric endocrinologist
who also refuted Dr. ********* advice.  They all said put baby to breast
asap.  And so I have.

I feel sad that our nursing relationship was disrupted and I can no
longer say that she's a "fully breast fed baby", but I do feel I did
what was right in pushing the matter as far as I could and getting in
touch with A LOT of people who really know their stuff!  Please post the
result of this on Lac net and let everyone know how truly appreciative
my family and I are of all your support, great information, and advice.
The referral of Pat Lindsey and Pediatrics Plus was a lifesaver!  Their
practice is so family friendly, and they were able to see us right away
and allay all our fears.

Once again, thank you, thank LaLeche League, and thank everyone who came
to our rescue - you're all heroes!
