I spoke with Rep. Maloney's office this morning and they told me that there is
no bill at the moment, and that the press conference today is to announce her
intent to introduce legislation when the House reconvenes on January 27, 1998.
The staffer said there would be a press release on Rep. Maloney's web site by
tomorrow.  I urge you all to save this address:

Visit it in the next couple of days.  Then write to your own congressperson and
ask them to support Rep. Maloney's proposed legislation by co-sponsoring it.
When you write, it is important that you include your own home address in the
letter, even if it is sent by e-mail, so that your rep. will know you are
his/her constituent.  To find addresses for members of the House, visit:
