The response to fluconazole and the type of pain definitely suggest
Candida. I usually treat for at least two weeks, but I like to see
the mother pain free for at least one week before stopping the
fluconazole. Then, I think I see fewer relapses. I have had mothers
on fluconazole for four weeks, commonly, longer, on occasion. And
that's 200 mg daily.
