The December issue of the Journal of Human Lactation has an article on the use
of hydrogel dressing for sore nipples. It provides a description and report on
the use of these products over two years. Hydrogel was so successful that the
authors are currently evaluating the hydrogel dressing in a randomized
clinical research study to validate its effectiveness compared to other nipple
wound treatments.
