Thanks to Jack, Tom, and Jane,
In regards to the very low dose of Methotrexate....2.5 mg only twice a week,
for a month, I feel somewhat comfortable.....mom is nursing an 18 pound 5
month old.  ( I don't know if the age of the baby matters)  Also giving the
baby folic acid is an interesting bit of info.
Today, the mom told me that the doctor wants to have her take Doxycyline for
a month...along with the methotrexate and Plaquenil (which is ok)  Are we
just getting in too deep here?  She's willing to pump, but this is her third
child, she has a lot of pain from the ankylosing spondylitis, and I'm not
sure she can keep it up for a month.
Would pumping for 24 hours after a dose of methotrexate (since it's only twice
a week help?
But then what about the doxycycline.........would it affect the baby's teeth,
bone growth, etc?
