Dee,

Could this be a case of mis-communication? Postpartum moms often "hear" or
recall information given them incorrectly. Or, they forget who exactly told
them something. Could it be that she mis-heard the LC, or perhaps her dr. or
someone else told her the "3-hour" bit, & she THOUGHT she remembered the LC
saying it?

Perhaps approaching the new LC from the assumption that she DOES know her
stuff, but was misinterpreted, would be a way to open up dialogue with her,
and maybe help her realize how easily new moms screw up what we tell them.

Working on being allies, and providing consistent information to the moms in
your area, should be the focus of your conversation. Good luck!
