I'm a lactation peer counselor in a rural community in Oregon. I've
been reading your posts for since I went to a seminar in Portland where
Kathleen Auerbach spoke. That's how I "latched on to Lactnet".

To the subject. My daughter was Rh sensitized. She was showing signs
of problems prior to birth, as determined through the aminos that I
had. I was induced 5 weeks early, in order to lessen the effects of the
blood incompatibilty. She, luckily, did not have to be transfused, but
it was a full 6 weeks before her hemoglobin stopped falling and
stabilized. My perinatalist said that this drop was normal because of
many factors, such as the ones mentioned in the last post that I saw on
this subject from Sharon Knorr. She was also my 5th child, like the lady
in the post.
