Sue:  Although a number of people have been incredulous at the doctor's
use of progestin pill to increase this mom's supply, and I know from
previous discussions that there has been a lot of anecdotal decrease of
milk supply with these, there are textbooks which actually state that
progestin-only contraceptives either don't affect the milk supply or
actually increase it.  So this OB may simply have been going by what
he/she read in one of these books.  I'm not saying that this was a great
choice as a galactogogue, just saying that it probably wasn't just pulled
out of the air or purposely done to further decrease her supply.  Alicia.
