Dear Ann-
Thanks for your response about checking the baby's nasal passages. I hadn't
thought of that at the time! The passsages are clear.
The good news is that the baby is now nursing most feedings---twice a day,
always the same time of day, she just doesn't. Mom admits that for one of
those feedings she can't wake up enough to "try", and her husband feeds the
baby a bottle of her milk. This time last week, baby would only nurse twice
a day, so there's definite progress and mom now has some confidence that she
will breastfeed successfully.
